Luciana Cicogna. Opere 2012-2025, Palazzetto Tito, Veice
Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa presents a solo exhibition at Palazzetto Tito dedicated to Luciana Cicogna, featuring a selection of works created between 2012 and 2025. Curated by Stefano Cecchetto, the exhibition offers an overview of the artist’s research developed over the past fifteen years, alongside a section recalling the origins of her practice in the 1970s. The exhibition brings together paintings from her main series, including Lune, Cortecce, Memorie di Foglia, Lievi Movimenti and the more recent Punto di Vista. In the latter, eyes and glasses become conceptual devices reflecting on perception and inner vision. A defining feature of her work is the use of gold leaf, applied with technical precision, creating surfaces where ancient resonance and contemporary sensibility coexist. The painted image becomes a symbolic and emotional field, evoking a suspended and introspective dimension. Structured as a sequence of rooms, the exhibition outlines a coherent artistic path between memory and present time. The result is a visual narrative that unfolds as an intimate investigation into perception, material and the persistence of vision.
